Sarah was born and raised in Colorado by an art-teaching mother and science-loving father. She often credits her parents with her diverse range of interests, reflected in her educational background, which runs the gamut from creative writing to applied mathematics.
Sarah began working in nonprofit in 2003 as a program coordinator for the Colorado Center for the Book. After spending several years living and working abroad, she joined the Peace Corps and served as a volunteer in Ukraine from 2008-2011 and developed the Eastword Oral History Project, which took oral histories from the countries WWII veterans and survivors. Upon her return, she worked in Washington DC, with both large, national nonprofits and small, intelligence contractors.
She returned to Colorado in 2013, again joining Colorado’s nonprofit community, as a development officer for the Jefferson County Library Foundation. Her love for community and change-making brought her to CiviCore as a project manager, where she can devote her time and energy to supporting so many worthy causes.
