Joe joins CiviCore after six years of experience with a range of non-profits in both on-the-ground roles and development and evaluation work. After graduating from the University of Oklahoma with a B.A. in Journalism and Mass Communication focusing on consumer research and psychology Joe began work with AmeriCorps National Civilian Community Corps as a way to give back. Through this experience Joe became involved in a number of pressing issues in local communities around the country including food security, housing, environmental sustainability, and youth education.
Most recently Joe worked as an independent evaluation consultant for an organization working on environmental sustainability and youth education, as well as working as a Project Manager for a statewide volunteer organization based in Denver. He is passionate about building capacity for organizations doing important work in their local community and thrilled to bring that passion to his work at CiviCore.
Joe volunteers for a number of organizations in the Denver area, and is a recipient of the President’s Call to Service Award for dedication to community service. In his free time Joe studies government policy, rock climbs, and is an avid long distance hiker with over 3,000 miles of trail under his belt.
