Principal and Co-Founder

At CiviCore, Rich is responsible for new business development and working closely with clients on the design and functionality of their databases. 

From 1991 to 1998 Rich worked as a program officer for the Piton Foundation in Denver.  The Piton Foundation is dedicated to improving the lives of low-income residents in Denver.  At Piton, Rich managed several initiatives in the areas of job training, education, and youth development.

In 1998, Rich left Piton to become the Vice-President of Corporate Relations for U.S. Bank where he was responsible for the company’s corporate philanthropy, sponsorships, media relations, and community relations.  At U.S. Bank, Rich developed several new grant initiatives to support the technology needs of non-profits.  Rich left U.S. Bank in 2000 to start CiviCore.

Rich currently serves as Chair of Colorado I Have a Dream Foundation and the Logan School for Creative Learning and sits on the board of the Denver Public Schools Foundation, Urban Peak, and Rebuilding Together USA.  Rich has served on the board of over a dozen non-profit organizations both here in Colorado and nationally.  Rich is a recipient of the Minoru Yasui Award for Community Service and the Colorado Nonprofit Association's 2008 William Funk Award.

Rich holds a  Bachelors degree in Economics from Harvard University and a Masters degree in Public Policy from the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.
