Jinny comes to CiviCore with a background in the nonprofit sector, specifically marketing, communication, and development.
Jinny graduated from University of Denver with a master’s degree in International and Intercultural Communication, a hybrid of communication and international studies disciplines, with a focus on conflict resolution. After graduation she started volunteering with the refugee youth at the Asian Pacific Development Center which soon led to a job as the Marketing and Communication staff. Over the course of 5 years at the organization, Jinny handled marketing, communication, fundraising efforts as well as supervisor for the youth programs department where she had started off. After leaving her job as the Director of Strategic Development, Jinny started a retail business, worked as a freelance interpreter/translator and continued to volunteer for the Denver Mayor’s APA Commission, Mile High Youth Corp’s marketing committee. Jinny is passionate about youth development and refugee communities.
